Eric, Claudia, and Gardner—your vision, generosity, and commitment to this community have built more than just successful businesses. You’ve helped build a feeling—one that people will carry with them long after the lights dim and the chairs are tucked in for the last time.

Kiana and Cody, you’ve poured yourselves into this space with such grace. You’ve curated, cooked, welcomed, and woven the spirit of The Independent into every dish, every gathering, every moment that felt like art and home all at once.

On closing night, I wandered the room with my camera, and what I heard—and felt—in every corner was a shared knowing: that this place stood for something rare. It stood for kindness. For creativity. For connection. For people.
